1952 February 29
Founding of Quebec Terminals Ltd. In Quebec City – specializing in stevedoring and port agency operations

1957

1957
Quebec Terminals diversifies its operations, adding a trucking division

1967

1967
Quebec Terminals acquires its main competitor, Albert G. Baker and joins forces with St. Lawrence Stevedoring to create a joint venture to be called SABB. Quebec Terminals thus becomes one of the first stevedoring firms to show an interest in container handling

1969

1969
On April 3, Quebec Terminals Ltd. becomes Logistec Corporation. In June, an Initial Public Offering generates proceeds of some $2 million. It is one of the first IPO’s to be launched by a mid-sized enterprise in Quebec. On September 24, common shares of Logistec Corporation are traded for the 1st time on the Montreal and Toronto stock exchanges.

1970

1970
Acquisition of Three Rivers Shipping Co. Ltd. and J. C. Malone & Co. of Trois-Rivières. Logistec Corporation also acquires a major Quebec-based port agency, Ramsey, Grieg & Co. Ltd.

1971

1971
Logistec purchases the assets of Canada’s largest stevedoring company, Eastern Canada Stevedoring Co.

1972

1972
Logistec moves its headquarters from Quebec City to Montreal.
Logistec acquires Maritime Agency Inc., a prominent Canadian shipping company which owns several ships servicing the ports of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the more remote ports of the Arctic. Logistec enters the marine transportation field.
